This wooden ornament is handmade in Alaska by Mary Harper. Each ornament is cut out of Alaskan wood, attached with ribbon, hand painted, numbered, dated, glittered and signed by Mary. A card is attached to each keepsake with a description.
Mary has made
Alaska her home since 1977. “I fell in love with the animals and beautiful land of this great state.” With a degree in animal science, Mary has found that nature, animals and art have always held a place in her heart. She and her husband built their log home and raised three sons in
Alaska. “We love to ski, camp, boat, hike, fish, fish, and did I mention fish? I try to be outdoors as much as possible and I find enjoyment drawing scenes in whimsical style.” The Christmas ornaments she creates have become cherished collectibles worldwide. Mary paints in acrylics, oils and watercolors. |
